Cervical cancer is one of the most frequently diagnosed cancer worldwide. One of the most important ways to reduce the incidence of cervical cancer is through education. Education about cervical cancer can lead to more healthy choices with respect the risk factors related to cervical cancer, especially infection with the human papillomavirus (HPV).
To meet the needs of students and teachers worldwide, we have developed a cervical cancer education unit that is free to any interested parties. All materials are copyrighted by Emory University but may be used by anyone working in an educational capacity as long as no fees are charged for the materials.
The Cervical Cancer materials were constructed to meet the Georgia Performance Science Standards as detailed in the lesson plans.
